It was really great hanging out with my cousin Mark and his daughter Anna during this regional youth conference that is known as “The Path.”  It was a great time for Anna and Stephen who are second cousins to meet.  We’re all related…Mark and I grew up like brothers but we don’t see each other very often in this hurried world that we live in.  Yet the tie that brought us together this evening was the passion that Mark and I share for young people.  Outside of conferences and national youth events it’s very unusual today to see this many young people assembled on a Sunday evening for a single two hour event.  My thought throughout the evening is that 90% of this audience may never make their faith of Jesus Christ their own and would be “ex” disciples by their sophomore year of college.  Mark kept saying something that really resonated with me during the evening…What if we do something tonight that changes the life of one just young person.  If we did all the efforts that go into “The Path” and Project Ex are worth it and angels were rejoicing in heaven!
